-Why did you choose to come to Bosworth?
A few reasons, firstly it was recommended to me, so I looked into the courses in more depth and found a course that really suited me, as it was the BTEC Business which is nowhere near as exam-based as A-levels and I felt this could be my best chance at getting the grades I needed for university.
-What are your future ambitions?
Prior to Bosworth I took a year volunteering at a couple of local charities as well as taking an online course in criminal psychology. Then I went to Bosworth to study business, so to tell you that I was accepted into one of the UK’s leading conservatoires, studying Musical Theatre (Triple Threat) may be surprising. It certainly was to me. I always loved musical theatre from a very young age but never had the confidence to pursue it. Our vice-principal, Mr Jones, as well as my course teachers, told me to follow my ambition and audition for theatre colleges. I auditioned for two and got offers from both. So, Bosworth is full of fantastic advice. My ambition is to perform in the West End and on UK tours.
-What is your favourite Bosworth memory?
As much as realising, I could perform well academically, something I had never done before my favourite Bosworth memory is meeting all my amazing friends there. A wide range of personalities and cultures are at Bosworth and all are so fantastic. I always looked forward to every college day because I knew wherever I went, I would see a friendly face in the next corridor I turned in whether that be student or staff.
-What are the benefits of BTEC Business programme?
So many, honestly it is a really great course. Firstly, it just boosted my morale when I got my first distinction. I couldn’t believe I could actually get a grade as high as that. I had just never been put in a position at my previous schools, where I was able to show my skills academically. The teachers are also very helpful and take an awful lot of time to help you get the best grades.
